Belize Soft Adventure Trip – 11 day
Whether you have been to Belize or not we’re sure you will love this fantastic soft outdoor Adventure. Our 7day Adventure’ has been such a success that people want to return a 2nd time so we introduced this new adventure a couple years ago. It also has a great combination of outdoor activities and we’ll visit a variety of locations. Even if you’ve been to Belize before we will guess that you have not visited some of these places.
(Note: this is a suggested itinerary only, conditions on each trip may vary)
Day 1: Meet Belize City Airport, (Friday Feb, 2020), Shuttle to Maya Jungle Lodge for dinner & evening.
Day 2:. After breakfast at the lodge, we’ll shuttle to the famous Xunantunich Ruins by the village of San Jose Succotz on the Mopan River, (next to the border with Guatemala). We’ll take a morning tour of these spectacular ruins dating from the late maya classic period. In the afternoon we’ll do a half day paddle on the lovely little Mopan River, spending several hours paddling thru the jungle and down the small rapids. We’ll have a picnic lunch. Transfer for the evening to Maya Jungle Lodge. Local dinner
Day 3: Caves River Paddling. We’ll do a day paddle along this spectacular cave system. We’ll travel by sit on top kayak through the stunning and remote cave system of Indian River in the 5 Blues National Park and the Caves Branch River. This will be one of the highlights of the trip. We’ll travel in and out of the stunning blue creek and caves branch river caves for 12 miles going in and out of the caves a half dozen times. We’ll finish the paddling around 3pm and will then be transferred to your hotel in the seaside village of Placencia for the evening.
3 Day: Lime Key & Sapodilla Marine Reserve:
Day 4-6: Boat transfer to Lime Key and Sapodilla Marine Reserve at the South end of the Belize Barrier Reef. 2 nights accommodation in at the small lodge there. This Key is part of the Sapodilla group and has several neighboring Island we can visit, there is a nearby wreck, good snorkeling, swimming, paddling, and an Idyllic setting. 3 days of relaxed adventure of Snorkeling, Swimming, Beaching, and base camping on the outer reef.
We’ll return to Placencia and a local hotel for night 6
Today you can spend the morning exploring the village of Placencia. Visit the beach, shops and restaurants in this quaint seaside village. After lunch we’ll board our van and head inland and south to Maya Village of Blue Ck where we will have dinner with a local Maya Family and prep for our camping tirp.
Days 8-10: Moho Paddling Trip
After early breakfast we will transfer to our river trip on the Moho. River. On this portion of the adventure we will travel into the southwest mountains and the Columbia River Forest Reserve. This is a beautiful and remote part of Belize. The river itself travels through pristine jungle dropping over numerous limestone ledges.
We’ll spend two and a half days on the Moho camping out 2 nights along the way. All gear and food is included. We’ll finish in the late afternoon and head back to the coast for an evening in a local hotel at Placencia.
Day 11 Flights Home: Mon Mar 2, 2020 (or on to other adventures):
Price based on dble occupancy (single supplement $250)
2 nights Accom and Maya Jungle Camp w meals, Maya Ruins Tour & Paddle, Caves River Paddle, 2 nights Accom Placencia Village, 2 nights accom Lime Key + meals, 3 day river paddling & camping tour on Moho River. Shuttles between activities. Local Guides.

1) International Flights to and from Belize City, + flight from Placencia to Belize City at end (approx. $125)
