Doug Ryan

Doug fell in love with canoe-tripping over 25 years ago, when by chance he attended a film screening hosted by some guy named Bill Mason. “Waterwalker” opened Doug’s eyes and mind to a whole new way to view the beauty and history of our country. Nearly 20 years, and hundreds of canoe trips later, Doug balances a career in the provincial government with summers leading canoe trips.

Doug also enjoys skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and playing pond hockey.
